EKG Technician

The student will demonstrate knowledge of the anatomy & physiology of the Cardiovascular System, be able to demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology related to EKG (ECG). The student will be able to identity the phases of the cardiac cycle, have basic understanding of the EKG interpretations and recognize normal and abnormal EKGs. This program does not require an externship. At the end of the course you test to the National Healthcare Association exam for a National Certification.

This course is offered on consecutive Saturdays, 4 days, from 8:00am – 5:00pm. It is also offered at certain times Monday – Thursday’s from 5:30pm – 9:30pm.

The 2011 schedule is as follows: Nov. 5, Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Dec. 3. from 8am – 5pm.

The Learning Pad will be closed the weekend of Nov. 26th for Thanksgiving.

Unit 7 - Ambulatory Monitoring
